How to Care for a Wooden Toilet Seat
Mix dish-washing liquid or hand soap with water. Wipe down the seat using a non-abrasive cloth or sponge. Use antibacterial soap, hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol to kill germs. Rinse the seat with clean water, and wipe it down with a dry, soft cloth. Keep the lid open to allow the hinges to air dry.Never use bleach, scouring powder, fingernail polish and remover, aftershave, harsh detergents or aerosols on your toilet seat.
